ME935 was an updated version of MZ970, and released in 2014 in Japan only.
The MZ970's Z-type drum is compatible with ME935, as the ME935's hardware specification is very similar to its predecessor MZ970 or MD6650. Alternatively, E-type color drum for MZ1050 can be converted to Z-type for ME935.
